    The Golf Channel hit a hole in one with the revitalization of part of its Orlando campus. The channel turned to Walker Design LLC to create a high-functioning, multi-use space within a 1,200-square-foot area. The space holds conference and training areas plus a genius bar. It has fully integrated audio/visual technology, integrated writable surfaces for informal gatherings and multiple movable seating options that can house 150 occupants.     UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital in Longmont, Colo., was designed by EYP Health to be an expandable, site-adaptable inpatient chassis that UCHealth could use at other locations. The new 210,000-square-foot hospital provides more than 50 inpatient beds and room to expand to more than 100. The hospital features an intensive care unit, operating rooms, a Level III trauma center and emergency department, advanced cardiac services, a birth center with a Level II special care nursery, a surgery center and 24-hour retail pharmacy, lab and imaging services. Reeves Football Complex further elevates Clemson’s program and promotes the recruitment, training and development of student-athletes. HOK names Tim Fishking to lead Healthcare practice in Columbus

Fishking, Tim_CroppedHOK has named Tim Fishking, FAIA, NCARB, as vice president and practice leader for HOK’s Healthcare group. He will be based in the firm’s Columbus office.

“We’re excited to welcome Tim to our team,” said Paul Strohm, AIA, ACHA, LEED AP, director of HOK’s global Healthcare practice. “He is a nationally recognized healthcare design leader and accomplished architect who understands the crucial role collaboration plays in delivering successful projects.”

“Joining HOK means working with some of the world’s leading designers and foremost healthcare organizations,” said Fishking. “I look forward to working together to develop truly transformative healthcare environments for our region.”

Fishking brings more than 30 years of experience overseeing significant healthcare projects, advocating for interdisciplinary collaboration and thinking strategically about how to deliver architectural solutions that work for the people they serve. He was elevated to the AIA College of Fellows in 2017 and is nationally known for pioneering modular prefabrication of healthcare building systems. This industry-changing delivery model allows healthcare organizations to build responsive facilities while improving the environment and reducing construction costs.

Fishking’s work has been published in industry media publications including Architectural RecordMetropolisHealthcare Design and Modern Healthcare. Organizations including NeoCon, the Mayo Clinic and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation have invited him to conduct lectures. He has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Ohio State University.
