HOK names Tim Fishking to lead Healthcare practice in Columbus

Fishking, Tim_CroppedHOK has named Tim Fishking, FAIA, NCARB, as vice president and practice leader for HOK’s Healthcare group. He will be based in the firm’s Columbus office.

“We’re excited to welcome Tim to our team,” said Paul Strohm, AIA, ACHA, LEED AP, director of HOK’s global Healthcare practice. “He is a nationally recognized healthcare design leader and accomplished architect who understands the crucial role collaboration plays in delivering successful projects.”

Fishking brings more than 30 years of experience overseeing significant healthcare projects, advocating for interdisciplinary collaboration and thinking strategically about how to deliver architectural solutions that work for the people they serve. He was elevated to the AIA College of Fellows in 2017 and is nationally known for pioneering modular prefabrication of healthcare building systems. This industry-changing delivery model allows healthcare organizations to build responsive facilities while improving the environment and reducing construction costs.

Fishking’s work has been published in industry media publications including Architectural RecordMetropolisHealthcare Design and Modern Healthcare. Organizations including NeoCon, the Mayo Clinic and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation have invited him to conduct lectures. He has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Ohio State University.
