The Golf Channel hit a hole in one with the revitalization of part of its Orlando campus. The channel turned to Walker Design LLC to create a high-functioning, multi-use space within a 1,200-square-foot area. The space holds conference and training areas plus a genius bar. It has fully integrated audio/visual technology, integrated writable surfaces for informal gatherings and multiple movable seating options that can house 150 occupants. The floor and ceiling patterns reflect lively, pixelated textures to contrast with and balance the static walls. Photography by Chad Baumer Photography.

Kinetex products receive Declare Label & GreenCircle verification

Kinetex products have been third-party verified by GreenCircle Certified and all have Declare Labels now. Kinetex Foundry seen above.

J+J Flooring Group, a leading manufacturer of commercial specified flooring, announced in November that all of its Kinetex products now come with the trusted third-party verified International Living Future Institute (ILFI) Declare label.  J+J partnered with one of ILFI’s approved third-party assessors, GreenCircle Certified, LLC., to provide third-party verification for its Declare label claims.  J+J is among the first floor covering manufacturers to obtain this voluntary third-party verification.

Declare is a transparency platform with labels housed on the Declare Product Database making it easy for designers, architects and others to determine where a product comes from, what it is made of, and where it goes at the end of its life.

The Kinetex products’ label has also achieved the declaration status of “Red List Free.”  This designation demonstrates that Kinetex products do not contain worst in class materials prevalent in the building industry, including chemicals known to pollute the environment or harm construction and factory workers.

The Kinetex Declare label can be accessed and viewed online at https://living-future.org/declare-products/kinetex-composite-flooring-tile-2/

“Going the extra mile to obtain both the Declare label and the third-party verification underscores J+J’s unwavering commitment to environmental responsibility, which includes complete transparency in everything we do and every product we make,” said Russ Delozier, J+J Flooring Group’s Director of Sustainability.  “We’re proud of this industry-leading accomplishment, as it further assures our customers that Kinetex is a simple and sustainable flooring solution, guaranteed.”

Kinetex is an advanced textile composite flooring that combines key attributes of a soft surface floor covering with the long-wearing performance characteristics of hard-surface flooring.  Kinetex products contain more than 55 percent recycled content and are 100 percent fully closed-loop recyclable.

Kinetex products have a 50 percent lower environmental impact than traditional flooring and are NSF 140 Platinum certified.  All Kinetex products come with Environmental Product Declarations and Health Product Declarations for added transparency and assurance.

J+J’s role in securing third-party verification for the Declare label follows a similar industry first from 2015.  In that year, the company became the first floor covering manufacturer to achieve a zero waste to landfill status, also third-party certified by GreenCircle Certified.  J+J remains the only manufacturer in the industry with GreenCircle third-party certification for zero waste to landfill claims.
