Boehringer Ingelheim, with U.S. headquarters in Ridgefield, CT, has been recognized by Science magazine for the eleventh consecutive year as a top company to work for in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Boehringer Ingelheim was listed among 20 companies, demonstrating its strong reputation.
“As a company focused on advancing science, we are committed to creating a culture that engages employees and inspires innovative thinking from research to developing partnerships,” said Dr. Paige Mahaney, head, Research and Small Molecule Discovery, U.S., Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. “We understand the importance of fostering strong relationships with our employees, who are at the core of our company and play a critical role in bringing new medicines to patients. Being named to Science magazine’s Top Employer list for the eleventh time is an honor and a testament to our efforts.”
In Science magazine’s annual survey, respondents were asked to rate companies based on 23 characteristics, including corporate image, financial prowess, leadership and direction, work culture/environment, location, and academic and intellectual challenge. Unique ranking scores were then derived from the ratings given to each company on these attributes. The top 20 companies with the best reputations as employers were culled from a list of more than 180 companies.
