New from Davis and designers Jehs+Laub is Ginkgo Wire. This evolution of the Ginkgo family is an indoor/outdoor line constructed of solid steel rods. Surprisingly light in scale, this new twist on a classic piece is uniquely flexible while maintaining a distinctly sculptural aesthetic.
Ginkgo Wire includes chairs, barstools, lounge seating, and tables.
Ginkgo Wire is the result of stripping down the Ginkgo chair – taking away the additions, the
upholstery and design materials, and focusing on the shape.
Functional first, the unique shape of Ginkgo allows for flexibility and comfort no matter the material composition.
Ginkgo Wire seating offers innovative upholstery options. An upholstered seat pad and an
upholstered back pad can be added to Ginkgo Wire with distinctive channel stitching which mimics the chairs wire design. Attached with nearly invisible clips, this design addition maintains the sleek design aesthetic while adding an additional layer of seating comfort.
Ginkgo Wire is constructed using a unique welding process. With precise radial curves for the
perfect seating experience, Ginkgo Wire seating perfectly mimics the unique shape of the Ginkgo
shell from an entirely new direction. Available for both indoor and outdoor applications, the outdoor pieces are powder coated with primer first, heightening the durability and creating an outdoor quality piece.
The unique comfort of Ginkgo Wire means it is a highly adaptable piece with a variety of potential
applications. Ginkgo Wire provides a level of seating comfort with a full collection of complementary pieces to complete the space. Ginkgo Wire establishes the opportunity to take the inimitable design of the Ginkgo line into outdoor applications. With outdoor quality finishes, Ginkgo Wire forays into a new area for the Ginkgo family
