October 2, 2024 — Atlanta, GA — The Kwalu Patient Room Experience will be unveiled at the Healthcare Design Conference + Expo (HCD). Kwalu is committed to creating nurturing environments that give priority to the holistic well-being of patients, care partners, and clinicians.
On exhibit from October 5-8, 2024, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, HCD visitors will encounter an immersive environment that materializes the theme of “Support Every Moment.” At the core of the Kwalu Patient Room Experience in booth 439 is the Ellie Recliner, a collaboration with Von Robinson of Play Orbit Studio. The Ellie Recliner is designed to provide exceptional comfort, support, and ease of use. With soft curves and a non-clinical aesthetic, the Ellie Recliner exudes a comfortable and calming interaction with the user.
The harmonious environment comes to completion through the simplicity of Ethan, a collection of minimalist case goods (shown below) designed by renowned designer Brian Graham. These pieces feature soft edges and serene forms, reducing visual clutter and emphasizing a peaceful, healing space. “By integrating these thoughtfully designed elements, through the partnerships with Von Robinson and Brian Graham, we’ve elevated the quality of care facilitated by our spaces,” says David Carlson, vice president of Kwalu Product Development. ”Creating spaces that truly enhance the well-being of everyone involved — patients and care partners alike — reflects the Kwalu focus on thoughtful design.”
