Momentum’s Yinka Ilori textiles and wall treatments win Best of NeoCon’s top award
Momentum Textiles & Wallcovering has won the overall Best of Competition in the Best of NeoCon 2024 Awards with Yinka Ilori x Momentum, its upholstery textiles and wallcoverings collections.
Yinka Ilori, British-Nigerian multi-disciplinary artist and designer, known for his dynamic public installations and color-forward aesthetic, created the collections which blend Ilori’s signature, vibrant style, inspired by his love of color and passion for joyous design, with Momentum’s expertise in commercial textiles and wallcovering design.
The collection introduces three wallcoverings and five textiles, each imbued with lively color palettes, captivating patterns, and engaging narratives. The collection draws not only on Ilori’s dual roots, but also on the themes of community and the power of affirmation — key tenets of all of his work. Ilori drew on his dual heritage for the inspiration for each design, emphasizing a commitment to affirmation and community that is essential to his artistic ethos.
In addition to Best of Competition, Yinka Ilori x Momentum, won Gold awards in Interior Products and Solutions: Wall Treatments, and Textiles: Upholstery.
