OSHA recognizes Cintas in Romeoville, Ill., with highest safety designation

Cintas Corporation announced that its Romeoville, Ill. facility services location received Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star certification from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). VPP Star is OSHA’s highest recognition for the practice of and commitment to exemplary occupational safety and health. VPP Star certification is earned by businesses that meet rigorous safety requirements and can prove that the elimination of injuries is a key component of a company’s culture.

“The Romeoville team is living proof that by working together, all Cintas locations can achieve our Safety Vision of being injury-free, where every partner is engaged in becoming a leader in safety and health performance,” said Nicole Rathbun, General Manager, Cintas Facility Services, Romeoville. “We are proud that Cintas continues to make safety a driving principle in everything we do.”

The Romeoville facility services location officially began the VPP process in 2014. This facility is the second in the North Central group to earn this achievement.

Since 2011, 78 Cintas facilities have been awarded the VPP Star certification, with 88 total locations recognized under the VPP program. Cintas has become the number one participant in the nation for companies with VPP sites. It has approximately 250 facilities throughout the world actively pursuing VPP recognition by OSHA or the equivalent under a similar certifying body. This includes operations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Honduras.
