Takeform’s Applaud Recognition Displays win 2017 Good Design Award.
Takeform has received a 2017 GOOD DESIGN Award for Applaud Recognition Displays, designed by CCO Kurt Lyons & the Takeform design team.
Takeform developed Applaud to connect to space and brand in three ways. Backer sizes and materials are specified to fit the project. The plaque system is designed to include the appropriate range of sizes and the desired finishes. The design comes together with one of three distinctive plaque mounting systems: the refinement of button mounting, the intricacy of the rod system or the minimalist simplicity of magnets. The platform can utilize almost any interior finish and offers direct print technology for added expressive capability. This creative potential is brought together in an efficient creative approach and a user-friendly process – design through installation.
Founded in 1950 by architect Eero Saarinen, Charles & Ray Eames & Edgar Kaufmann Jr., The GOOD DESIGN Awards program is for the most innovative and cutting-edge industrial, product, and graphic designs produced around the world.
Applaud is Takeform’s fourth product to win a GOOD DESIGN Award.
